Robert was the beloved husband for 34 years of Eleanor nee Norman; dear father of Robert (Mary) Alvord, Cindy (John) Sutton, Richard (Sandy) Alvord, Paula Sorrentino, and the late Patricia Alvord; loving grandfather of Katie (Jon), Steven (Melissa), Mark (Charron), Lindsay (Phil), Daniel, Emilia, Maria, and Richard; proud great-grandfather of Gavin and Ava; fond brother of Marilyn Fragakis and former husband of Bonnie Moore. Visitation Sunday 3:00 p.m. to 9 :00 p.m. at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Hwy. / Rt. 14 at Rand Rd.) Des Plaines. Interment private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Heart Association.
