Laura “La” Leslie Schumacher nee Garrison, passed away on December 27, 2021.
Born on November 11, 1956 to Carrol and Lloyd Garrison, La grew up in Des Plaines, Illinois and is survived by Robert, her loving husband of 39 years, their son Tom (Ashley) Schumacher, brother Curtis (Nimbe) Garrison, sister Ellie (Randy) Shambro and brother Eric (Lisa) Garrison.
Although La met Bob at Maine West in 1971, and were close friends all through high school, they didn’t begin dating until they were in their 20’s.
La loved attending concerts at Ravinia and downtown Chicago along with spending time exploring Chicago’s Riverwalk.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Greenpeace or Planned Parenthood would be appreciated.
