Visitation for Karen C. Genz (nee Nellessen), 69, of Des Plaines for 61 years will be Monday, June 3, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (Northwest Highway/Route 14 at Rand Road), Des Plaines. In state Tuesday, June 4, 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. at Park Ridge Presbyterian Church, 1300 W. Crescent Ave., Park Ridge. Interment Town of Maine Cemetery. Born August 19, 1943, in Morton Grove, she passed away May 31, 2013, in Park Ridge. Karen was the owner of Knoll’s Needle Nook in Des Plaines for seven years. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Earl J. Genz; children, Julie S. (Thomas) Genz Barton and Vicki C. Genz; grandchildren, Kenmar and Jacob; and many nieces and nephews.
