Barbara E. Sterner of Palatine Visitation for Barbara E. Sterner (nee Bishop) will be from 3 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 7 p.m. Monday, at Oehler Funeral Home, 2099 Miner St. (corner of Northwest Highway/Route 14 and Rand Road), Des Plaines. Family and friends will gather for an interment service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Windridge Cemetery, 7014 S. Rawson Bridge Road, Cary, IL. She was the loving wife of the late Richard "Dick" Sterner; devoted mother of Peggy (Lee) Bertrand, Darlene (Ken) Tollstam, Carol (Dan) Green, David Sterner and Rich (Lisa) Sterner; dear grandmother of Ryan and Aaron Bertrand, Allison (Byron) Deeter, Kristie Tollstam, Dan (Amanda) Green, and Sean and Nicole Sterner; and fond great-grandmother of Baily, Skylar, Logan, Payton, Jackson and Tyler.
