John Sheldon Brown

John Sheldon Brown, 57, of Orangefield, Texas passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at his residence. He was born to his late parents, John Keith Brown and Barbara Lynn Bergeaux Brown on March 17, 1967 in DeQuincy, Louisiana. Sheldon enjoyed woodworking, building furniture, along with home and auto repairs.

He is survived by his fiance', Janna Delaet; son, Taelor Brown of DeQuincy; daughter, Hannah Frey (Garrett) of New Port Richey, Florida; brothers, Evan Brown of DeQuincy, Jason Brown of Collinsville, Mississippi, and Regan Brown (Melisa) of Sulphur; uncles, Carol Brown (Annette), Jerry Brown, and Doug Brown (Janice), all of DeQuincy; aunts, Marie Brown of Baton Rouge and Carolyn Clark (Clyde) of DeQuincy; three grandchildren, Hayzli and Anistyn Brown, and Ella Frey; along with his fur babies, Jenni and Bear.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in DeQuincy, Louisiana on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 1:00 pm, with Father Louis Tigga officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy on Friday, from 10:00 am, with a Rosary at 11:00 am, followed by the procession to the church for a 1:00 pm Mass. Burial will be at Masonic Cemetery in DeQuincy.
