She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of DeQuincy where she was active in teaching Sunday School, GA's, and Vacation Bible School. Cleo was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all her loved ones. Her love and faithfulness for God showed through all her actions. Cleo was a true giver. She was always devoting her time to others. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Cleo was always on the go and full of energy. Her favorite past times were attending grandchildren's activities, cooking for family and friends, involved in church functions, shopping and riding her zero turn mower.
She was the daughter of the late C.E. and Dora LeBlanc of DeQuincy. Those who are left to cherish her memory are her husband of 61 years, Gerald Abdalla, Sr.; one daughter, Mickey Lynn Marcantel of DeQuincy; one son, Dr. G.J. Abdalla, Jr. and wife Karlyn of DeRidder; one sister, Margaret Cox of DeQuincy; sister-in-law, Betty LeBlanc of Carlyss; 2 brother-in-laws, Jimmy Abdalla and Pargie (Neelum) Abdalla; 4 grandchildren, Kace Marcantel and wife Sarah, Kili Reeves and husband Greg, Leslie McGuire and husband Joshua and Megan Johnson and husband Timothy; 5 great grandchildren, Reci & Kinlee Reeves, Jacob, Alex and Ty Marcantel. "Meia" loved having a large family. She was thrilled with the new editions to her family; her step grandchildren, Luke, Elijah and Eliana McGuire and Aaron, David, Dustin, Rush and Kaylianna Danielson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Kenny E. LeBlanc, daughter-in-law Jill Abdalla, brother-in-law Adrian Cox, Sr., and her in-laws, J.J. and Edna Abdalla, Sr., and sister-in-law Myrtle King.
Her funeral service will be at 10:00am Saturday, March 2, in the First Baptist Church of DeQuincy. Bro. Mike Paris and Bro. Rob Walls will officiate. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Snider Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Friday, March 1, from 3:00 - 9:00 at the church and resume on Saturday at 8:00am until service time. Memorial donations in Cleo's memory may be made to First Baptist Church of DeQuincy.
