Born to William and Hannah (Jacobson) Ball in Denver, Colorado, where he lived his entire life.
Graduated from West High School in May 1942. Entered U.S. Army on February 1, 1943. Served with 535th Ordnance Company for two years in Guadalcanal during World War II as a T-5. Discharged January 1, 1946.
Joined Redeemer Lutheran Church on January 29, 1956 and served in various positions: Treasurer, Financial Secretary, Stewardship Board, Human Care Board, Counting Team and Vice President and Treasurer of AAL Branch 3025 at Redeemer. Member of Rockers Senior Group.
A member of the Lutheran Fellowship Group, where he met Gladys Ehlers. They were married at Redeemer Lutheran Church on August 30, 1959.
Was employed at Spitzer Electric Co., Gates Rubber Co. and for 30 years as a mechanic at the Denver Police Garage, retiring on February 1, 1985.
Before and during his retirement Wayne enjoyed woodworking, camping, fishing, gardening and traveling. Wayne and Gladys saw much of the world together during their many years of retired life.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife Gladys in 2013, and by his parents and sister, Gladys.
