Lois was born January 12, 1921 in Longmont, Colorado to Eli and Maude Henry. She had two brothers, Don and Eddie and two sisters, Eve and JoAnn. When she was five, the family moved to Denver where Eli worked as a butcher, eventually opening his own shop on 17th Ave. Lois attended Ebert Elementary, Morey Junior High and East High School. After graduation, she worked at the May Company where she met her future husband, John Doyle. They married in 1940 and John went to work for the Denver Fire Department. He was on the job until his death in 1972. John and Lois had three children. Sharon Doyle Ursick, Omaha, Nebraska, Jack (Annette) Doyle, Sumter, South Carolina and Mike (Katie) Doyle, Denver, Colorado. Lois has nine Granchildren; John (Meg) Ursick, Kathleen (Chris) Chattin, Joe (Kristina) Ursick, Sheila (Jimmy) Giles and Brendan (Laina) Doyle, Colleen (Brian) Kirk, Meghan Doyles, Brian Doyle, and the late Suzanne Grisham and Maureen Happe. Also survived by 14 Great Grandchildren, Zoe Ursick, Mitch Ursick, Kali Grishman, Will Grisham, Aiden Chattin, Maggie Chattin, Evan Chattin, Soren Ursick, Ronan Ursick, Alison Bushnell, Seth Giles, Kellen, Giles, 8/9 Baby Doyle (Due the end of April) Cade Kirk, Campbell Kirk. After John died in 1972, Lois began volunteering at St. Joseph Hospital and with the Retied Fireman's Association. She was the Association's secretary for over 30 years. In 1994, Lois moved from her home to independent living at the Gardens at St. Elizabeth's. She resided there for 3 years. Due to several fractures and her Alzheimer's becoming more advanced, she moved to Life care Center of Westminster, where she lived for four years. Thank you for being a part ofr Lois's life. She has gone to a far better place and will be missed by us all.
