Kevin Lamont Price was born on October 29, 1979 to Linda Price and Henry Lee in Denver, Colorado. He was the oldest of five kids on his matriarch side and the youngest of five kids on his patriarch side. The number five represents God’s mercy and grace, something Kevin encompassed everyday.
Kevin grew up in Aurora, Colorado and attended Virginia Court Elementary School, Aurora Hills Middle School and graduated from Gateway High School Class of 1998. Kevin was a decorated athlete, playing basketball and football in his adolescent years before excelling in football during his high school years. He was a three-year letterman at Gateway High School in football.
Highly intelligent and intellectual, Kevin was the first member of the Price family to go to college. He attended the University of Northern Colorado - Greeley. He was very active in his undergrad, serving as the treasurer for The Black Student Union. In 2003, Kevin graduated from UNC with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design.
Kevin went on to work for Comcast for nearly 10 years, managing and leading customer services and small business support teams. Most recently, Kevin moved to Phoenix, Arizona to be with his twin siblings and for a fresh start. He worked alongside his sister and brother-in-law as they started their residential cleaning business.
Kevin was passionate about mentoring and teaching the younger generation. Kevin worked with young kids in his free time to teach them about art, football and life. Many people appreciated Kevin’s wisdom, his humor and kind-hearted spirit.
Without question, Kevin loved his family. He was extremely proud of all of his family members, from his brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews, Kevin enjoyed having such a big and loving family. Kevin was a spiritual man. As a young teen, Kevin was very active in the church, and was ultimately baptized at 14 by his best friend’s father, Pastor Hicks. For the rest of his life, Kevin carried in his heart his love for God.
On the early morning of July 3, 2020, Kevin transitioned into the eternity and salvation he lived for. He is preceded in death by his father, Henry, his grandparents and several aunts and uncles. Kevin leaves behind his loving mother, Linda, brothers Brandon, Eldred, Keith, Mark and Lionel and his sisters Andrea, Bridgett and Dawn as well as aunts Doris and Patricia; Uncle Skip; and his nieces Kristin, Michelle, Brittany, Nicole, Jazmin and Tangenika; and nephews Brandon, Darien, and Mark Jr.
Kevin inspired everyone whom he came in contact with. His kindness was contagious and genuine. Kevin is sorely missed.
Everything Kevin did, he did with heart. And we will continue that legacy.
