was one of five siblings, all raised in Worcester. Of the two boys and three girls, Kathleen is only
survived by her brother John (Jack) Monahan.
After graduation from Worcester City College, Kathleen worked as an RN at John’s Hopkins Hospital in
Baltimore. She met and married Eugene J. Walsh (Gene) in Baltimore and wed on July 6th, 1957.
Gene and Kathleen had three children and moved with Gene’s work from Baltimore to Florida, and then
again from Florida to Denver, Colorado. Gene passed away in 2010.
In addition to her brother, she is survived by her children, Thomas Gerald (Jerry) Walsh and his wife
Kathy, Kathleen (Max) Garin and her husband Joe, and MaryBeth (MB) Moran and her husband John,
seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Kathleen will be missed dearly by all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, love, and
generosity.
