Elijah, I used to love watch you dance and play basketball at OHS. You were always so happy and you brought many smiles to us everyday! I am so saddened to hear of your passing. Thank you for being YOU. You will be dearly missed...

Overland High school is where I meet Elijah, and I’ve never seen him with a frown on his face. He was so kind and sweet and let’s just say a lot of us loved him just as much as he loved all of us. Prayers for his Family and Friends. ♥️

Your job here is done Elijah, you can now rest!! 

We are all gifted special souls in our lives and Elijah was one of the greatest of all. His fervor and passion for life was a major reason we at Overland looked to adopt unified sports in our athletic program. The look on his face when he was able to play basketball is a look that every person should have sometime in their lifetime. Thank you Elijah for showing us what it means to live life to the fullest and invest yourself in a community with love. You have certainly made me a better man and I can only hope to inspire others the way you have me in my life. Rest in paradise young king and show em how to hit nothing but net in eternity! Those that knew Elijah were blessed by his sense of humor, kind loving compassionate nature.  I feel so lucky to have shared time with him and will forever hold him in my heart. E, my date for the game when I visited- Nuggets vs Blazers. Seems like ages and ages ago. I loved watching mom and son interact. Such humor!!  Christine I know he is your forever Valentine. Thank you for sharing him with me. And with so many!  Love you E. Love you Chica.

 Daniel, Christian, Christon and at school! You were a brave and courageous young man with many challenges that you conquered daily! Dear sweet Elijah,
Oh how I will miss your quick wit, your unabashed love of dancing and the King of Pop, your wicked basketball skills (bird man) and most of all, your love for your mother Christine and her’s for you.
 You were born with disabilities that made your life challenging, but I admired how you NEVER let those challenges hold you back (Special Olympics gold medal winner), you lived your best life. 
It was my pleasure and honor being your Godmother and being able to watch you grow from a precocious little boy to a strong and capable “handyman”. I love you and will truly miss you.

My most vivid memory of Elijah was at Grandma’s lake. He must have been about  6.  He was BUSY!  At one point we came out on the deck to find him covered in sunscreen- the white creamy kind. When he was scolded he protested “I just wanted to be white chocolate!”   ❤️  

Our hearts are saddened by his passing I have a few memories with this young man in elementary school at (Eastridge elementary). I was one of his paras I always loved his sprit. Then my son Zachary went to transition with Elijah and became friends he loved how Elijah loved Michael Jackson as much as he does! I felt lucky I got to see Elijah grow into a young man!! Our prayers and thoughts are with you!!

Christine you have our deepest sympathy for Elijah's home going.  He had the best of love and life being with you.  I remember the day he came to our Child Care Center at the age of four, I think.  He was so small on that big bus and so many loved Elijah.  He brought a lot of smiles and hugs to us all.

Oh, boy howdy!  I met Elijah's mom when I was pregnant with my son Ian, 32 years ago.  We became fast friends.  I remember when she delivered Elijah, and visited her many times when he was little.  Elijah had challenges, but Christine was always stalwart and strong.  Her life was Elijah.  She's the best Mom and Elijah had the best life anybody could have given him.  Elijah was funny, saucy and had a sly sense of humor.  I'll miss him.  And so will Dale - he remembers giving Elijah the football jersey.  Elijah had that unique ability to connect with everybody.  He was an angel in a challenged body.  He's now whole in Heaven with his Dad and his relatives who have passed beforehand.  God bless him, and God give Christine strength and comfort knowing that she was the best Mom Elijah could have had - she gave Elijah a special, great life.


I am still in shock with this. I wasn’t blessed to know him really well but enough to know his sense of humor and his zest for life. I can truly speak for my kids also at how much they loved spending time with him. He was not shy. He just fit right in with all of my kids. 

To know you both is to love you both!

Hugs and prayers!  Keep sharing those memories.  The memories become such treasures. 

Noone couldn't portray Michael Jackson dance like Elijah. You're sweet angel is dancing with the Lord.
