Dorothy Moore, 97, went to be with the Lord on September 8th, 2015. Dorothy was born on May 9th, 1918 to Roscoe and Mary Gallup. She grew up in Edelstein, Illinois and graduated from Princeville High School. It was there she met her future husband Jim Moore and married on September 2,1940. She became a military wife. After retirement, they moved to Aurora, Colorado and made it their home. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as serving those in her church through Christian Women’s Fellowship. She was so loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her husband Lt. Col. James A. Moore, grandson Barry Moore, granddaughter Mischon Farmer, son Stan Moore and son-in-law Gary Nettleton. Dorothy Moore is survived by her children Shirley Nettleton, and Ron Moore (Kelly), her granddaughters Shelley Roberts (Brian), Karissa Stovall (James), and Pam Rock; daughter-in-law Linda Moore, and two great-grandchildren Hayley and Todd Roberts. A private service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
