Christien Travers Paynter was born in Denver, Colorado to Anita "Niki" Auskaps Paynter (1944 - 2001) & Richard Travers Paynter (1941 - 2006). Christien's mother was born and raised in Rega Latvia, her father migrated to Watertown, South Dakota during WWII. Christiens father was born in Chicago, Illinois. He lived in Denver, Colorado when he met his wife Jan Paynter in 1988. They relocated to Santa Barbara, California and eventually back to Colorado where Richard owned his law practice until he passed away in 2006. Niki was a Flight Attendant for United Airlines for over 30 years, her passion which she shared with Christien was her love of travel. They traveled all over the world and explored as many countries as they could. This is where Christien found his love of travel and hoped to pass it on to his son Travers. His Godmother, Maxine "Max" Belt spent many years raising this young life and gave so much to his formative years. Maxine also provided the daycare and Loving care of Travers after his birth, Maxine is the "Other" Mother we all wanted in life.
Christien received his Doctor of Pharmacy in May of 2007 and had been employed with Medical Center of Aurora. He had such an amazing family of friends and he spoke highly of them often. He will be missed by so many friends and colleagues.
Christien was preceded in death by his parents. He is Survived by Stacy Fleming and his son Travers Christien Paynter. His family Jan Paynter, Stephanie Fry, Ryan Fry, Ret. Lt. Col William and Martha Fleming and entire Fleming Family, many friends and loved ones that cared so deeply for Christien.
Travers was blessed to have had these years with his father. They traveled to Disney World, had been on a Caribbean cruise and spent time in Hawaii with Christien and the Paynter Family. Travers and his father had the most special times right here in Colorado on the tops of mountains while Skiing and snowboarding together. Their time together had always been filled with fun, laughter and love.
