Preceded in death by first wife, Evelyn “Tommie” Entsminger and brother, Arlen E. Entsminger. Survived by 2nd wife, Alice Entsminger of Denver, sister, Phyllis Fulton of Steamboat Spgs, CO, son, John A Entsminger (Jill) of Henderson, NV, son, James P Entsminger (Judi) of Tustin, CA, son, David E Entsminger (Teri) of Dana Point, CA, daughter, Deborah E Wittig (Everett) of Bisbee, AZ, and daughter, Janet E Neal (Robert) of Denver, grandchildren, Daphne E Heintz (Corey), John J Entsminger (Erica), Cassidy L Entsminger, Shandee Schuchmann (Kyle), Randy Whetstine, Michael J Entsminger, Justin P Entsminger, Grant E Entsminger (Tiffany), Meredith L Entsminger, Kristin E Neal, James A Neal, and great grandchildren, Tayler A Heintz, Aidan J Entsminger, Devin J Entsminger, Trevor Schuchmann, Ethan J Entsminger, and step children, Kevin Tearney (Linn) and their son, Jake, Kathleen Grace (Dale) and their sons, Jonathan and Daniel, Thomas Tearney (Nancy) and their children, Taryn and Tommy, and Kelly Tomlinson. A Colorado resident since 1926, Ardys served in the National Guard and then served during WWII in the US Army Air Forces and in the Air Force Reserves. He received a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Denver and made his career as a Registered Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor in the Denver area. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved to play bridge and work in his garden. He was loved wherever he went and will be greatly missed. Rosary will be held on February1St at 7:00 pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2298 S. Logan Street, Denver, CO. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on February 2nd at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 2298 S. Logan Street, Denver, CO. followed by reception and interment with full military honors at Hampden Memorial Gardens 2:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of St. John or charitable organization of donor’s choice.
