Howard, age 79, of Denison, Texas passed away on Tuesday February 27, 2018. Howard was born Saturday February 25, 1939 in Denison, Texas to Ida Pearl Lance and William Oscar Lance.
Howard is survived by his wife, Doris Marie Lance; son David Wayne Lance; and daughter Sharon Denise Lance; brother Lloyd Lance & wife Mary.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Bratcher Funeral Home, Denison, Texas.
A graveside service will occur Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Oakridge Cemetery, Denison, Texas. Pastor Sam Garrett will officiate.
Howard had a love for animals and was always willing to rescue one and take care of them. Howard drove a fork lift for Safeway for 39 years before retiring. He was a western movie fan through and through and especially for the "Duke", John Wayne. Howard also collected writing pens and ball caps from everywhere he went or visited and occasionally that rare pocket knife would find its way back home with him as well.
