Billy Joe Odle, 79, passed away Monday, January 2nd in his hometown of Denison,TX. After a long battle with cancer, he passed away of a heart attack. Mr. Odle was born in Agua Caliente, California, son of Jesse Howard Odle and Orean Bradley Odle.
Visitation will be at Bratcher Funeral Home 10am Friday, January 6th and service at 11am. 401 W Woodward, Denison, Tx. Burial to follow service at Cedarlawn Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joey Row, Cole Row, Larry Brockman, Henry Odle, Bill Weatherly, and Brad Weatherly.
Billy is survived by daughter Stacie Odle Row and husband Joseph, grandchildren Joseph Cole Row and Shelby Danelle Row of Lewisville, TX. Brother Henry Odle of Arlington. Sisters Lazelle Weda of Denison and Mozelle Weatherly and husband Bill of Ft Worth.
He attended Raynal Elementary School and Denison High School class of 1956. He was voted class favorite his freshman year. He always looked forward to his class reunions. After high school, Billy served in the United States Navy and was a proud Veteran. After returning from service he worked for Pillsbury and Hempkins Auto Parts. Later he drove a school bus for Denison School District. He was a member of Easy Baptist Church and was choir director for several years.
He was a wonderful friend, son, brother and father who made constant sacrifices to give his daughter Stacie an education and the best life possible. He was a Godly man and many say he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He will be dearly missed.
