Sharon Willis, age 70, loving mother of two sons, proud grandmother of four, great grandmother of two and the adoring wife to husband Mel WIllis, passed away unexpectedly on August 26th at her home in Boynton Beach, Florida. Sharon was born in 1952 in Washington, DC and grew up and lived in the DC suburbs of Montgomery County, MD. Sharon was a passionate artist who loved needlepointing, calligraphy and painting. On top of her artistic talent, Sharon also had a special flair for home decorating in a tropical theme. She was also an avid stock market follower who tested her luck at the mahjong table and was consistently counting her pennies.
Sharon is survived by her husband Mel Willlis of 49 years, Scott Willis, her son, his wife, Kim Willis and their four children Brendan, Libby, Sydney and Ethan; her two great grandchildren Austin and Forrest; her sister Gail Fredricks and her husband Michael Fredricks, and many more loved extended family members. Sharon had many close friends from Maryland to Florida; none closer than her lifelong friends Paula and Mitch Kramer. Sharon will be missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her and loved her.
