Harold Nabson, 96, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2021. He was born in Brooklyn on February 24, 1925 to William and Lillian. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII and flew B-17s and B-29s, reaching the rank of First Lieutenant. Harold married Arline Booky in 1944 and raised their family in New York. He owned the very successful locksmith company, Cosmic Door. Upon retirement in 1984, he and Arline moved to Coral Springs and eventually to Boynton Beach. Harold could often be found at the Boca Airport spending time with his pilot buddies. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol, Boca Pilots Association, and declared a “Master Pilot” by the FAA. He and Arline loved to travel, especially to
Aruba. Harold was known to all as “grandpa,” and everyone who met him knew how special and amazing he was. He was a true gem and will be missed beyond measure.Harold is pre-deceased by his beshert, Arline, and his beloved daughter Lynn. Survived by his daughter, Gail (Raymond); five grandchildren,
Patrecia, David (Leonora), Jeffrey, Adam (Nicole), and Kelli; and seven great-grandchildren, Mia, Summer, Jesse, Benjamin, Samuel, Alexander, and Jonah.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Riverside-Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, 7205 W. Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach. Interment will immediately follow at Star of David Cemetery, 7701 Bailey Road, North Lauderdale. Shiva will be held privately. Donations can be made in Harold’s memory to www.honorflight.org.
