John Edwin Landry Jr.

A native of Abbeville and resident of Delcambre, Mr. Landry passed away at 1:50 am on Wednesday October 5, 2011 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.

John Ed worked most of his life in the shrimping industry in Delcambre. He was a friend to many and will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his longtime companion, Jeanette Duhon; his son, Steven Duhon; his mother, Betty Doucet Landry of Abbeville; step-father, Oran Duhon of Abbeville; brothers, Louis Marceaux of Forked Island and Glen Landry of Erath; sisters, Alice Eve Marceaux of Forked Island, Gisele Landry of Erath, and Stephanie Landry of New Iberia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Edwin Landry, Sr.; brother, Jay Marceaux; sister, Joy Lynn Landry; and grandmother, Effie Choate.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to assist with expenses.
