Deanna Broussard Frederick, a dear lady who proudly wore the title of loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully Friday, April 17, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was 78.
Deanna was born in Henry, LA to the late Caliste Broussard and the late Rita DuBois Broussard and has lived her entire life in her beloved Acadiana. Everyone that knew Deanna, knew of her love of life. In true Cajun spirit, she enjoyed French music and danced whenever the opportunity arose. She had a joyful spirit and lived an independent life, as to not be a bother others. But she was always available for her family when they needed.
Growing up in a family that raced and trained horses, it was only natural that she enjoyed getting to the race tracks to watch the races, and going to the casinos with family and friends. She made sure to enjoy the day and brought laughter to those around her. Her beautiful smile will be missed dearly. Rest well Deanna for you have earned your reward in Heaven.
Survivors include her children, Wendy Romero (Keith), Kim Frederick (Deborah), Caliene Hoffpauir (Beaver) and Sam Frederick (Candy); her son-in-law, Darrell Peters; her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored, Jake Stoutes, Keli Frederick, Jude Frederick and Guinevere “G” Grederick, Claire Bourque, Brayden Bourque, Will Bourque, Jaxen Stoutes, Ava Frederick, Aubrey Frederick and Parker Jude “PJ” Frederick; her sister and brother, Larry Broussard (Shirley) and Brenda Broussard; and two God-children, Tammy Derouen and Charlie DuBois.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Frederick; and her daughters, Katrina Peters and Dawn Frederick.
In keeping with Deanna’s wishes, private services were held Saturday April 18 and she was laid to rest with her husband at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Delcambre.
