Frances Jane Rhodes, our treasured and beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, friend and northern star for countless others, left her earthly life to return home to her beloved Lord and Savior on February 6, 2015. Frances was born September 2, 1924 to Mamie and Alfred Chapman.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Lynn Rhodes Jr. and two brothers Garland (Rusty) and Paul Chapman. She leaves behind her four children Sherry Jackson Craig, Dennis Rhodes, Lynn E. Rhodes and LeAnn Guelker, five grandchildren, and nine great-
grandchildren.
Frances was a favorite Sunday school teacher and devout member of the Immanuel Baptist Church in Delano for over 50 years. God truly did some of His greatest work through her loving and gentle spirit. Francis was a colorful, vibrant, quirky, kind, beautiful and loving woman. To say that she was loved by many is an egregious understatement. Her virtues are numerous, but her greatest attribute was her unshakeable belief that Jesus Christ shed His blood so that we may all be saved and that we are all worthy of Gods grace and love just the way we are, and she exemplified that belief in everything she did and with everyone she met. There are just no words to say how much she was loved and how much she will be missed.
It is with great celebration, as well as heavy hearts that we honor this magnificent woman's life and legacy. Services will be held at 10:00 am, February 12, 2015 at Delano Mortuary
