Stanley Le’Rue Mason was born on March 24, 1956 in Oklahoma City, OK to Olive “Polly” Mason of Clearview, OK and Tanish “Goodboy” Williams of Tatums, OK. Stanley graduated from John Marshall high school and later joined the United States Navy, where he served his country from 1973 to 1976 on many ships including The Enterprise. In Stanley’s early years he loved to boxing with his friends, riding his motorcycle, and karate. He also enjoyed spending time with loved ones and his dog Mya, swimming, and most of all singing for the Lord. After his time in the Navy, Stanley’s 1st marriage was to Shanda Williams from 1979- 1985. In that union he fathered his only child, Sophiya on December 15th 1982. His baby girl was his world!
Stanley then pursued his career as a Jet Engine Mechanic at Tinker Airforce Base for many years. He later joined Tabitha Baptist Church in 1996 where he met Sonya Hooks. Stanley and Sonya married July 18, 1997 and he gained another daughter, Dashelle. He later retired from the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office, as a Detention Officer. Although he gave his life to Christ at an early age, Stanley and Sonya became committed to walk with God together. They went on to have a beautiful long-lasting marriage until his passing. He loved his wife unconditionally.
Stanley was called home at the early age of 66 years old, on November 1st,2022. He was preceded in death by his mother, his father, his brother Rudolph Mayberry of Pensacola, Florida and his sister LaVonne Baldwin of Oklahoma City. Stanley leaves behind: Wife: Sonya Mason, Daughters: Sophiya Le’Sha Taylor (Walter Floyd Taylor IV) and Dashelle Quinn (Addaryl Quinn) Granddaughters: Salayah Le’Nae Taylor, Sadie Lauren Taylor, Simone Le’Sha Taylor, Shai’Juana Quinn, Jamisha Quinn. Grandsons: MJ Warrior, Decata Warrior, Jordan Warrior, Julian Warrior, and Addaryl Quinn II. Nephews: Luther “Eddie” Allen, Keith Boyce, and Dennis Baldwin. And a host of family and friends.
