Roy Allen Phillips, born on August 17, 1959, in Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on July 12, 2024, at the age of 64 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Roy dedicated his career to working as a debt collector, a role he held for most of his adult life.
He was a passionate individual who loved to fish and spend time working on cars, hobbies, that brought him great joy and relaxation. Roy was a proud graduate of Southeast High School, class of 1978, and furthered his education at City College.
Roy is survived by his loving wife, Debbie, of the home; sons, Jason Burns Sr. of the home, BJ Phillips and his wife Shelby of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Michael Phillips and his wife Dezra of Lawton, Oklahoma. He also leaves behind his sister, Darlene Raasch and her husband Shannon; brothers, Marshall Birchett and his wife Cindy, and Billy Gibbs and his wife Brenda. His life was enriched by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends, who will dearly miss him. Roy was preceded in death by his mother, Loreta Gibbs; father, Clarence Phillips; stepfather, Clyde Gibbs; and niece, Angela Gibbs.
A service to celebrate Roy’s life will be held at the Abounding Grace Baptist Church, located at 1495 S. Henney Rd., Choctaw, Oklahoma, on Saturday July 20th, 2024, at 2 pm. The Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home is assisting the family during this difficult time. Roy’s presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue to live on through the memories cherished by those who loved him.
