Rex died peacefully on March 23, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 7, 1938 to Thomas Rex Lewis and Fern Harrison in Oskaloosa, Iowa. Graduated from Wichita North High School in Kansas.
He served in the Navy for 2 years and returned to Wichita to work as a sheet metal worker at Beech Aircraft. Relocated to Pampa, Texas to work in the oilfield. He retired as a Measurement Supervisor of his own company, Jaguar Meter Service. He loved the lake and was an avid water skier. Had always planned to enjoy more summers at the lake house in Eufaula. He also liked playing golf, eating ice cream, and had a knack for talking.
Was married to his wife, Adrian for 42 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Paul Ivor. He is survived by his wife, Adrian, his sons; Shawn and wife DeAnna, Brandon and wife Regina and “Scooter”, his grandchildren; Trey and Kaitlin, a brother Merle Ray and his wife Patty and many nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2019, with Mass on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 10 a.m., both at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church with interment at Arlington Memory Cemetery.
