Marcia Ann Mantooth

It is with great sadness that the family of Marcia Ann Mantooth announce her passing on

Wednesday, October 23rd 2024.

Marcia, 78 was born on May 5th 1946 in New Castle, Pennsylvania to Louise Mary Colello and

Anthony Louis Colello.

After her family relocated to Oklahoma, Marcia embraced “Once a Bomber, Always a Bomber”,

graduating from Midwest City High School in 1964. She went on to attend Saint Anthony

Hospital’s School of Nursing receiving her degree as a Registered Nurse in 1968. She loved her

work and continued at Saint Anthony’s until retiring in l997 although she remained her family’s

go to resource for any and all ailments. The network of her nursing family was near and dear to

her heart and she maintained those close bonds with many of her nurse friends over the years.

Friendships made in work were strengthened through her love of bowling, filling the alleys with

laughs and enjoying good times with many of her colleagues from Saint Anthony’s.

In addition to bowling, Marcia loved the movies, movie stars and Oscar celebration season.

Movie marathons were an awaited annual tradition for her and her sister Andrea over the years.

Becoming a true Okie, she was an avid OU fan and football lover. Naming her beloved furry pup

Boomer was an expression of that enthusiasm.

Marcia left a legacy and set the bar high as an amazing cook and baker. Family holidays and

gatherings were plentiful and completely filled with gourmet dishes, tradition and love.

Food always tasted better with the love stirred in and you could tell she mixed it in well.

Her legendary ravioli and sauce invariably had to be rationed just a bit so everyone could get

their fill. And a good fill it was. Sweet varieties of deserts, pies, cookies and more with continued

family Italian traditions were an additional feast of themselves.If you ever had any of her cooking, you only wanted one thing… more.

Marcia was preceded in death by the love of her life, loving husband John D. Mantooth, her

brother Mark A. Colello, mother Louise M. Colello and father Anthony L. Colello.

She is survived by her son Brett Harder of Oklahoma City and grandson Brock Harder. Also

survived by her sister and brother-in-law Andrea and David White, along with six nieces and

nephews and 16 great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held the 28th of October, 2024 at two o’clock pm at Bill Eisenhour

Funeral Home 5005 S.E. 29th Street Del City, Oklahoma.

Interment will follow at Sunnylane Cemetery 4000 S.E. 29th Street Del City, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be Cole Shreve, David White, Daryck Jones, Daryus Jones, Daylen Jones and

Brylan Johnson.
