Linda F Reed

Linda was born on November 11, 1940 in Muskogee, OK. Upon graduation from Muskogee High School, she married Sam Treat. While married to Sam they had three children and eventually moved to Del City, OK. In 1983 she married Harold Reed to whom she was married until his death in 2017. Linda was preceded in death by her parents JV and Blanche Brown, husband Harold Reed, sister Cathy and her sister and very best friend Sue. Linda is survived by her three children and their spouses; Kent and Marla Treat, Melissa and Randy Pierce, Phillip and Krista Treat. She is also survived by her brother Jerry Brown and his wife Judy. Linda has six grandchildren and four great children; Megan Pierce, Adam Pierce and his wife Alysa and their children Emerson and Collins, Alison Wilcox and her husband Brian, Brandyn Treat and his wife Emily, Macy Treat, Tori Saffell and her husband Ross and their children Judah and Jordan.

Linda truly loved the Lord and taught her children to love God and love others. While living in Del City she was a long-time and faithful member of Del City Church or Christ. After raising her children, she spent many years working as a house parent with her husband Harold in children’s homes throughout Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and Alabama. She excelled at cooking; especially pies and treats. Her love for family was deep and she wanted to know every story of every family member and their friends. There was always a sewing, quilting, or crocheting project in progress. She loved to listen to music and her preferences were Elvis, the Statler Brothers and gospel music. Her true passion has always been playing cards, dominoes, and other games that she could win and would win and if she did not it was only because the other person was cheating, she was sure of it.
