Katherine M. Wyatt

Katherine M. Wyatt, a resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma, was born June 12, 1928, in Memphis, Tennessee to Earl & Agnes (Muller) Powers. She passed away Monday, June 7, 2021, in Del City, Oklahoma, at the age of 92 years 11 months and 18 days.

After high school, Katherine married Edward Patterson Wyatt, on October 27, 1946, in West Memphis, Arkansas. Just months after their wedding, Edward enlisted into the Army Air Corps and eventually enlisted in the US Air Force serving a career of 32 years. After retirement from the US Air Force, Edward & Katherine found their way back to Marion, Arkansas. In 1992, Edward & Katherine relocated to Midwest City, Oklahoma to retire and be closer to family.

She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother of three, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She & Edward were members of the Soldier Creek Baptist Church, in Midwest City, where she served as the Chair Person of the Benevolence Committee. Katherine loved working puzzles, playing Farkel, reading, cross stitch, cooking and spending time with her family. They had a loving marriage and life together that lasted 62 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, two brothers, and husband Edward “Ed” Wyatt, on October 18, 2008; and infant son, David Charles Wyatt.

Survived by her son Edward P. Wyatt, Jr. & wife Jan, of University Park, Florida, son Fred M. Wyatt & wife Kathy, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, and daughter Deborah Starr Wyatt, of Olympia, Washington

9 Grandchildren: David Wyatt, Brandy Neely, Katie Wyatt-Vandermeer, Karen Wyatt-Pape,

Kristin Wyatt- Longe, Mark Managhan, Aaron Managhan, Antonio Scarpelli, Sam Scarpelli.

7 Great Grandchildren: Peyton Szydloski, Hunter Wyatt, Briton Szydloski, Vance Pape, Petra Vandermeer, Reina Longe, and Vaughn Pape.
