James W. Brantner, 81, of Midwest City, Oklahoma passed away February 6, 2013. He was born December 5, 1931 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Jim served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and with the U.S Marine Corps in the Vietnam War, retiring in 1980 as a Sargent Major with over 30 years of service to his country. After his military service he worked for the US Postal Service and retired after 15 years. Jim contributed numerous hours over the years to the St. Vincent De Paul organization and is a 4th degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus.
James is survived by his wife Frances; his son David and wife Angela, his son Steven and wife Barbara. He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren; Oriana, Eddy and Emily, his great grandchildren Talon and Ashton and many other extended family members.
A Vigil will be held at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel and Mass at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 11, 2013 at St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church, Midwest City, OK.
