She was born on March 22, 1964 to Ruben and Sara Martinez in Chanute, Kansas. Survived by her mother, Sara of Midwest City; daughters Monica and husband Steve of Midwest City, Veronica and Gregory of Edmond; sons Alex and Adrian of Oklahoma City; sister Jennifer of Midwest City; brothers Michael of Midwest City, Mark and wife Julie of Choctaw; grandchildren Nadia, Jacob, Madison, Iliana, and Audriana. She is preceded in death by her father, Ruben G. Martinez.
She was a graduate of Midwest City High School Class of 1982. She began her career as a bilingual assistant at Lee Elementary for over 20 years. She was passionate about the families and children not only at Lee Elementary, but also in the Latino community.
Later receiving her certification as a medical assistant, she continued serving her Latino community. Even through the weakest moments of her battle she still continued to care for patients at Variety Healthcare up until the last few months of her fight. She was full of life and always a joy to be around. Dancing and listening to music was her favorite past time. Her song of life will never end….it will play on forever as we celebrate her strength, laughter, and love.
Visitation for Jackie will be from 2-8pm Thursday, June 6th at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in Del City. Services will be at 10am Friday, June 7th at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Del City with burial to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City.
