of Choctaw, Oklahoma
Helen Louise Bonner passed away Sunday after a hard fought battle with the COVID virus. She was born to father Everette Monroe Faulkner and mother Marvel Anne Faulkner.
Helen was a strong woman of faith and had a strong relationship with God. Helen survived two battles of cancer, hepatitis C, cirrhosis of the liver, and a stroke. Helen's life was full of ups and downs. but she always knew God would see her through. It was like she always said, it was just another bump in our road of life. This last battle God finally said it is finished and it was time for her to rest. Helen was a prayer warrior, always praying for others, and a woman after God's own heart. Rest well Helen, your work on earth is done.
Helen was a generous woman of God, always helping anyone she could if she thought they had a need. Helen believed what God told us to do, and that was to be kind to those around us, walk in love, and to show that love to the world. She truly let her light shine.
Helen was born in Oklahoma City, and went to school at Capitol Hill. She had a long and rewarding career working for the Oklahoma Tax Commission, where she retired in 2010.
Helen enjoyed traveling to exciting places, especially the Caribbean, seeing as much of the things of this world that God created. Helen enjoyed life and her church, but most of all, she enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Helen's heart was to see all her children grow up to be good God fearing people like she loved God.
Helen was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father Everette Faulker; and her daughter Cynthia.
Helen is survived by her husband Samuel Bonner; her mother Marvel Anne Gentry; brother Terry Faulkner and his two children, along with five grandchildren; daughters Jacqueline and husband Michael Ashmore, Denise and husband Michael Kom, Lauren and husband Chris Raymond; step-sons Donovan Bonner, and Jason and wife Kristie Bonner; sister-in-law Liz and husband Joe Banks; step-brother Wes and wife Maria Bonner; step-brothers Terry and Michael Bonner; along with 24 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Helen truly will be missed because of all the lives she touched on earth during the time she was given to be with us by God. Words cannot express the loss many will feel because of her passing, but she would want everyone to know that it's only for a short time until we're all together again.
Friends are invited to visitation on Friday, October 8, 2021 from 4-8pm at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in Del City. Services will be at 2pm Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the funeral home.
