Harold D. Norton

Harold Dalton Norton, 89, passed from this life Feb 13, 2014 at his home in Midwest City, OK. He was born Oct. 13, 1924 in Giles CO., TN. to Henry Norton & his wife Hattie Dooley Norton both of whom are deceased. Harold was also preceded in death by a brother Earl Grant Norton & sisters Roberta Rollins & Reba Glandon. He is survived by sisters Estelle Langley, Geneva Wilkes, Joy Daughrity, Barbara Edwards & one brother William Norton. He was married to W. Marie Sewell in 1947. She preceded him in death in 2003. Harold is survived by his current wife Mary (Lanford) Norton of the home. He is also survived by his & Marie’s three children Gail Norman & her husband Mike of Midwest City, OK., David Norton & his wife Beverly of Tishomingo, OK. & Denis Norton & Linda Thompson of Spencer, OK. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren. Harold was a faithful member of the Lord’s Church for many years. He was retired from Tinker AFB where he was a chief of a jet engine technical services group. He owned & operated a heating & air-conditioning company for several years after he retired.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Feb 16, from 3 to 7 pm at the Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home on S.E. 29th St. in Del City. A memorial service will be held at the Ridgecrest Church of Christ, 500 N. Air Depot in Midwest City, OK. on Monday Feb 17, 2014 at 2 pm. Interment to follow in the Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City, OK.
