Dersie spent 43 years of her life married to her first love, Leslie Ivers, and together they had three children, Leslie Ellsworth Ivers Jr., Don Wayne Ivers and Barbara Ann (Oliver) Ivers. She loved shopping, spending time with her family and taking rides and road trips in her daughters Miata. Dersie was also a proud grandmother and reveled in the moments when she was able to hold her grandchildren for the first time. Dersie was a child of God and a member of the Del City Baptist Church.
Dersie is preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Nellie, husband, Leslie Ivers, sisters, Audrey Ford, Geraldine Miller, Hazel Van Horn and Sybil Hornsby.
Her memories will continue to be cherished by her children, Leslie Ivers Jr., Don Ivers and wife Shirley Howell, and Barbara Oliver, siblings, Bobby Irwin and Emmagene Irwin, nine grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
