He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Dodson Sr., his Dodson grandparents and his Luster grandparents as well as many loving aunts, uncles, a niece and cousins.
David is survived by one son, Cole Dodson; his mother, Ethel Dodson; three brothers, Charlie (Andrea), Tibideaux, Steve (Dave-Ann), and one sister Cathy Merida (Jay); special aunts,uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
David was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed many sports and was a competitive game player. He enjoyed talking with his elders and hearing stories about their lives. He also liked to influence young people to get a good education. He was very kind and generous, thoughtful and giving towards others. To know him was to love him.
Visitation for David will be from 4-8pm Friday, May 27, 2022 at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in Del City. Funeral services will be at 10am Saturday, May 28th at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
