Bobby Ray Hill, born December 4, 1946 to Leon and Helen (Dudley) Hill, passed peacefully from the arms of his loving wife into the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, June 10, 2010, after a 10 month battle with cancer. A graduate of DCHS, he served his country in the U.S. Army from 1966 until 1969 and worked at TAFB from 1979 until his passing.
His greatest love was for his Lord. He came to know Jesus Nov. 23, 1980, as a Sunday school teacher; he loved working with singles and had a heart for people. Bobby was a very well respected man who not only loved God’s Word and taught it well, but lived it out personally. He walked with God on earth and is now in heaven, dancing with the angels, talking with the saints, and praising God, face to face.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 26 short years, Linda; sons, Robert (Robin) and Jonathan (Juliet); step-daughter, Candace (Adam) Belsher of Canada; 9 grandchildren: Justin, Charity, Amber, Angela, Max, Juliana, Ava Grace, Gavin, and another August surprise; 2 great grandchildren: Jaren and a baby girl due in October; his mother, Helen; brothers and sisters: Howard (Jane), Peggy Holland, Freddy (Shela), Judy Hayster, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Leon, and step-son, Raymond A. Duke.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel with interment to follow at Sunny Lane Cemetery of Del City. Condolences may be offered at Eisenhourfuneral.com.
