Bobby “Bob” Lee Cooksey, age 73, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed into the arms of Jesus on November 24th 2017 at 4:14 p.m. as family surrounded him in love. Bob enlisted in the US Air force at age 17 and was a Bomber plane electrician. He stayed active for four years. Bob came to know the Lord when he was a young man. At the age of 23 he enrolled in OBU for Seminary School and graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft Worth Texas. He was a pastor for several years for the Southern Baptist Church in Konawa, Moore and Tulsa Oklahoma. Bob’s parents Dewey and Juanita Cooksey needed their son to run the family business, A–1 Valve Repair. As a dutiful son he began working his way to becoming President. He worked there until the business closed in 1999. Bob enjoyed his retirement years at his lakehouse on Lake Eufaula collecting Antiques and running his local business, Yesteryears Antiques. He loved buying and selling antiques and collectibles. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Juanita Cooksey, brother Danny Cooksey, and his brother-in-law Carl Archer. Bob was survived by his sister Neta Archer of Moore, Oklahoma and his wife, Vivioun “Ann” of Oklahoma City. Bob and Ann were the age of 16 and 14 when they got married in front of a Justice of the Peace in Denton, Texas. That was in 1961. They have been married for 57 1/2 years. They have 3 children Curtis Cooksey and wife Kimberly of Edmond, Oklahoma; Sabrina Kettle of Yukon, Oklahoma; and Anna Cooksey of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Bob has six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Over the course of his life he met many dear friends and was loved by all. Bob never met a stranger. No matter what he did, he did it with his whole heart. He will be dearly missed however his family and friends know that we will be with him again in Heaven. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday November 28th at Bill Eisenhour Chapel in Del City Oklahoma.
