Billie Jean Gentry

Billie married Bill Gentry on July 22, 1949 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was a devoted loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed greatly. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother Van Palmer and one sister, Virginia Palmer; Mother and Father-In-law: Tom and Posie Gentry; brothers-in-laws: Jack Gentry, Frank Gentry and Lake Baxter; sister-in-laws : Wilma Baxter, Pat Cutter, and Shirlie Gentry. She is survived by her children: Barbara Gentry of Choctaw, OK, Don and Julie Gentry of Harrah, OK, Debbie Vinyard of Choctaw, OK and Randy Gentry of Choctaw, OK; grandchildren: Lori and Shane May, Jill and Jarrett Maples, Justin Vinyard and girlfriend Kelli Crawford, Derek and Sarah Vinyard, Ryan and Matthew Gentry; great-grandchildren: Dalton and Carson May, Jarren, Jaelen and Joslin Maples, Jenson Vinyard and two on the way, Nolan Vinyard and Jentri Vinyard and a host of of family and friends.

Billie was a faithful member of the church of Christ in Choctaw for 49 years and before that she was a member at Central church of Christ in Oklahoma City for 7 years. She was a homemaker for 30 years and began a short career with DHS/OHCA in 1979 for 15 years. After retirement she enjoyed traveling with her husband, family and friends. The family would like to express their special thank you to Dr. Kahn, Oklahoma Heart Hospital South, Diane with Encompass Home Health and Gary with Excell Hospice for the compassionate care.

Family will be receiving friends for visitation, Thursday October 24, 2013 from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.at Bill Eisenhour S.E. Funeral Home, Del City, OK. A funeral will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 25, 2013, at the Choctaw church of Christ, Choctaw, OK with interment following at Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City, OK
