Angela “Kim” (Shipley) Hepler, 63, of Del City, passed away on September 6, 2021. She was born February 17, 1958 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She attended Carl Albert High School, graduated Magna cum laude from Oklahoma City University and later completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and WOCN certificate from Emory University.
She worked for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, the Oklahoma Prison Industries and Director of Nursing for many nursing facilities from Washington State to Washington DC.
Her first job, however, was operating the cash register at her grandmother’s convenience store from age 9 until she attended college.
She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She loved her family very much. She loved coaching her sons’ Little League games and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, football, softball, baseball and wrestling.
She spent many years playing and coaching softball. She loved competing and loved to win!
She enjoyed watching and attending OU sporting events, softball, football and wrestling.
She loved spending time with her friends at the lake and all of her favorite places.
She loved to travel and experience new places and meeting new people. She had the ability to make great friends easily and had such a kind loving soul, unless, you crossed her kids or grandkids, whom she loved, fiercely, above all else!
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Hazel Odom, and her son, Trey Hepler. She is survived by her father, Al Shipley, of Tempe Arizona, her son, Allen Hepler, granddaughter Megan Mallonee, grandsons Hunter and Will Hepler, and granddaughter Hannah Hepler of Midwest City.
Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 5005 SE 29th Street, Del City, Oklahoma.
