Barbara A. Callahan, age 69, of Wyandanch, New York passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021. Barbara was born April 2, 1952 and grew up, spending her days out doors, particularly on the water, enjoying the beauty of the landscape and fishing. She was the proud recipient of the New York State Award of Excellence for her role as House Manager with the Developmental Disabilities Services Organization. She was an animal lover and proud Girl Scout Troop leader.
Barbara is survived by her loving daughters Danielle Anderson-Amador (David) and Kiera Hanley (Omar) and son Jevon Anderson. Cherished grandma to Jamari, Kyri, Micah, Miles, Abrianna, and David Jr. Devoted sister to Patricia Wankel (Charles).
A visitation for Barbara will be held Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Claude R. Boyd-Caratozzolo Funeral Home, 1785 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, New York 11729. The funeral service will be held that day at 5:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday, December 20, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A private cremation will follow.
