Funeral for Robert E. "Bob" Johnson, 74, of Wilmington, N.C., will be Friday, May 24, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel in Decatur. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Johnson, who died Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Carolina Hospital, was born September 13, 1937, in New York to John and Virginia Dixon Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Mark Reed; and one daughter, Sandra Alvis.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Bobbi N. Johnson; one son, Robert B. Johnson of Wilmington, N.C.; two daughters, Carmen Reed McHone (William) of Johnson City, Tenn., and Rhonda McCurley Corbitt of South Alabama; two brothers, Jack Johnson of Black Mountain, N.C., and Steven Johnson of Arizona; two sisters, Cynthia Johnson of Virginia Beach, Va., and Denise Speed; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
