Mark Whitlow, a resident of Decatur, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly on May 14, 2020 at the age of 59. Mark is survived by his wife, Holly Grainger Whitlow; father, Kelvis Whitlow (Karen); daughter, Chelsie Whitlow; stepson, Daniel Lee Keeton; two sisters, Sarita Price (Keith) and Nina Lawler (Chris); stepbrothers, Mike McAbee and Danny McAbee; stepsister Jerrie Crawford, and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anita Burleson.
Mark was born in Decatur on July 9, 1960 to Kelvis Whitlow and the late Anita Burleson. He attended Austin High School and Calhoun Community College. He earned his CDL and drove a truck for AAA Cooper and Estes Express Lines for over 20 years.
Mark and Holly were married on July 3, 2015 in Gulf Shores. Mark loved fishing, boating, watching Auburn football, and telling outrageous (but true) stories. He loved his daughter, Chelsie, as she was the joy of his life. He was a wonderful father, son, husband, brother, and friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home on May 18, 2020, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, with The Celebration of Life Service to follow at 1:00 pm. mark will be laid to rest at Decatur City Cemetery.
