Jeffrey Roland Willingham of Decatur passed away on January 4, 2024. Visitation will be on Monday, January 8 from 11-12 at First Bible Church of Decatur. The Celebration of Life service will begin at 12:00, at First Bible Church (3202 Spring Avenue, Decatur, AL). Pastors Steve Bateman, Paul Cheshier, and Jess Montegudo will be officiating. He will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery.
Jeff is survived by his wife of 34 years, Darlene Adkins Willingham; his son, Mitchell Willingham (Brittany) of Decatur; his grandchildren, Hayven, Adam and Levi; his sister, Joni Willingham Clark (Dennis) and his beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Adam Willingham, and his parents, Jack and Helen Willingham.
Jeff was born on February 9, 1959 and grew up in Tuscumbia, Alabama. He graduated from Deshler High School and the University of North Alabama, and was a die hard Bama football fan. He was employed by Boeing Company and a member of First Bible Church. Most importantly, Jeff trusted in scripture alone, grace alone, faith alone, to the glory of God alone.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Bible Church or the Neighborhood Christian Center.
