Funeral services for Mary Jane Dudley, 72, of Scooba, are set for 11:00 A.M on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at the Binnsville United Methodist Church with Rev. Jamie Bailey officiating. Burial will be in the Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
Ms. Dudley died on Monday, January 3, 2011 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. She was born to the late Franklin Clark and Alma Dotson Eldridge. During her life she worked for several years before retiring as a legal secretary for James D. Sparks, Attorney at Law, and a member of the Binnsville Methodist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Pam Carter and her husband Tim, Martha Jean Mishoe and her husband Phillip, and Melanie Hutcherson and her husband Howard; six grandchildren; two sisters, and one brother.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Knox Dudley, Jr.
Kevin and Kim Bouchillon, Wayne Eldridge, Billy Joe and Ray Hedgpeth, Larry Smith and Keith Waddell will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 5, 2010 from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. at Stephens Funeral Home in DeKalb.
The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Binnsville United Methodist Church 56 Whitehorse Road Scooba, MS 39358 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105 .
