MORRISSEY, William D. age 82 of Kettering, Ohio passed away Thursday, January 17, 2013. He attended Samuel Hamilton High School, was a World War II Army Veteran, and later was certified as a journeyman of the Miami Valley Carpenter’s District Council in 1968. William was an active member of the local Carpenter’s Union Local 104, for over 60 years. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Louise, infant son, Steven, parents, Ella and William T. Morrissey, brothers, Harry Morrissey, Dean Morrissey, Richard Morrissey, and Jim Morrissey and a sister, Evelyn Squires. He is survived by sons, Michael Morrissey (Susan) of Dayton, Ohio, Mark Morrissey of Kettering, Ohio, and Anthony Morrissey (Ann) of Kettering, Ohio; grandchildren, Lisa York (Michael) of Cincinnati, Ohio and Amy Morrissey (Dan Holsey) of Golden, Colorado; great grandchildren, William York “Liam” and Madeline York; sisters, Margaret Bregenzer (Robert), Mary Stepp (Richard), and Hazel Cernick (Ronald); a brother, Eddie Morrissey (Jacqueline); and numerous other relatives. The family will receive friends at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Avenue at Rahn Road, Monday, January 21, 2013, from 10 am to 1 pm followed by a funeral service at 1 pm.
