Wayne Furay

FURAY, Wayne, age 89 of Xenia, OH passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Wayne is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Jo Furay; children, Sandra (Carl) Clifton, David Furay, Scott (Patty) Furay, Wayne Allen Furay and close family friend, Brice Thomas; grandchildren, Kristina (Joe) Neal, Jodi Clifton (Anthony Dell’Aria) and Derek Clifton; great-grandchildren; Codi Stage, Cory Stage, Chaise Coffey, Erika Neal, Nicholas Neal, Christian Neal, Joseph Neal and Dakota Clifton; numerous nieces, nephews and many other family and friends. Wayne was a WWII veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a postal clerk and was a part time farmer. He loved animals as well as gardening. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday, January 9, 2012 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall. Pastor William Lott officiating. Interment will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens. His family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of services Monday at the funeral home.
