He graduated from Beavercreek High School a year early in 1967 and did his best to stay in contact with classmates whom he cherished from there and Carroll High over the years. He loved his class reunions as it brought him joy to remines and reconnect with those he shared fond memories.
In 1968 Vince started apprentice school at Ironworkers Local #290 as a “Punk” they called apprentices back then. He eventually became an Apprentice Coordinator. During his days as an Ironworker, he became a father to his favorite daughter he called her, Michelle Ruddy in 1971.
In 1973 he barely survived a serious fall while on the job. Multiple surgeries caused him to be laid up and on crutches for six years. While still on crutches he began his college journey at Sinclair Community College. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business at Wright State University. He was proud to be the first college graduate in his family with hopes it would encourage younger generations to follow suit. Vince went on to pursue a career in the financial services industry as a stockbroker, insurance agent, Certified Financial Planner™, and Certified Mutual Fund Specialist.
He met the love of his life in 1981 Linda Ruddy (Pitts) while working at a firm in Dayton. They went on to marry in 1985. Their union blessed him with 2 sons Chris & Jeremy Lee who quickly became his own. Vince always knew he had the love, support and encouragement of Linda through the years. They built a beautiful life and family together. They traveled as often as possible, with their favorite place being Alaska. They went to countless Cleveland Brown games and Cincinnati Reds games as this was one of his favorite passions. He loved being near the water any chance he could and being with his family for any event there was.
In 1989 Vince went independent as a stockbroker and built a successful brokerage and RIA Firm. While doing so he taught investment classes at Kettering Adult School in the evenings. He wanted to share his knowledge for building wealth with all he could.

Vince became an Ordained Minister which allowed him to officiate several weddings of family and friends over the years. He was an avid coin and baseball card collector. He had a brilliant mind and a heart of gold. He inspired and taught so many people and provided hope and guidance to all walks of life. Vince’s story is truly an inspiration.
