Ruth Kenney Sacksteder

SACKSTEDER (KENNEY) Ruth age 91 of Kettering passed away on Friday September 7, 2018. Born Ruth Mendenhall on August 13, 1927 on McPherson Street in Dayton, Ohio to the late Raymond and Mildred Mendenhall. She is preceded in death by her first husband Charles E. Kenney, (father to her nine children) and her second husband Harry Sacksteder. Also preceded in death by her granddaughter Lana Kenney. She is survived by all her children, Michael (Tina) Kenney, Mary Ann (Martin) Bordewisch, Thomas (Marilyn) Kenney, Kathleen (Ralph) Schultz, Teresa (Tony) Toerner, Mark (Tamara) Kenney, Matthew (Margaret) Kenney, Joseph (Holly) Kenney and John (Anne) Kenney. She is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild and their spouses. Mom enjoyed being with her family the most. Whether it be a gathering at their homes, picnics, birthday parties or holidays. Our parents blessed us with a strong foundation to build from for which we are all grateful. As our father has been greatly missed for so many years, so now will be our mother. We are glad that they will now be together and are thankful that they are our parents. We all love you Mom. The family will receive friends at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4600 Ackerman Blvd. Kettering, OH 45429 from 10 am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am, Thursday, September 13, 2018.
