Nellie Dimple Williams, age 97 of Bethany Village and formerly of Beavercreek, passed away Monday, September 1, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Lee Williams, two sons, Bill and David Williams, daughter-in-law Beverly Williams and a grandson, Michael Pohlman. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Mary Jane (Osborn) Shirley, her brothers and sisters: Nettie Brown, Rollie Shirley, Estelle Whittaker, Mattie Coppock, George Shirley, Pearl Maples, Curtis Shirley and Cora Clark. She is survived by a son, Gary Williams, of Kettering and a daughter, Joyce Barry of Beavercreek and daughters-in-law Marilyn Williams and Christine Williams. Nine grandchildren also survive her: Jim Pohlman, Jr., Mindy SilvisMayer and husband Jon, Scott Silvis and wife Kendra, Angie Lambdin and husband Rick, Ron Williams and wife Deana, Barbie Turner and husband Todd, Terry Williams and wife Linda, Dr. Michael Williams and wife Karen and Tim Williams. Ten great grandchildren also survive her: Andrea (Josh), Erin (Jason), Matthew (Terri), Heidi (Clint), Abigail, Josh, Felix, Samantha, Nathan and Crystal, as do five great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Nellie was an awesome mother to her children and a loving grandmother to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; family was her life. She was also a vigorous lady and worked until she was 85 years of age.The family wishes to thank the staffs of Bethany Village and Hospice of Dayton for their special love and care of Nellie. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, September 5, 2014 from 5-7 PM at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME- Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 AM on Saturday, September 6, 2014 with Pastor Jerry Siler officiating. Interment will be in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery following the funeral.
