Mary Katherine Wilson

Mary K. Wilson, age 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. Mary was born in Dayton, Ohio to the late Edgar and Katherine (Scofield) Rohman on June 23, 1939. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Eugene B. Wilson; her parents; her son, Nicholas Wilson, on December 16, 1979; and sister Janice Radin. She is survived by her two daughters Marie (Perry) Evans and Kathleen (Richard) Larimer; six grandchildren Mahaley Evans, Joel Evans, Nicholas Larimer, Conner Larimer, Luke Larimer, and Julianne Larimer; and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was a devoted wife, and steadfast, independent person who loved to quilt, read, travel, and feed her backyard birds. As a well-respected educator for 30 years, she instilled the gift of reading and learning to students and loved ones. She was a dedicated grandmother who enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s band, dance, choir, and other artistic endeavors. She forged strong, supportive bonds with her children and grandchildren and showed compassion until their final moments together. Whether you knew Mary through life as a childhood friend or just met her last week, she always made you feel valued.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Dayton or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
