Tatom, Mary Ellen, age 97 of Dayton passed away peacefully on November 25, 2018.
Preceded in death by her husband George Robert Tatom; son Richard D. Tatom; parents Ora Belle and Clyde Whitehead; 6 brothers and 5 sisters. Survived by her son and daughter in law Robert W. and Phyllis Tatom; daughter and son-in-law Linda S. and Richard Abel; sister Betty Filoso; 7 grandchildren: Jeffrey M. Tatom, Chris Ann Tramontana, Tracy L. Ramsey, Jenny L. Tatom, Cheryl L. Green, Angela M. Salyer, and Sarah L. McDaniel; 14 great-grandchildren: Ian and Erin Short, Shelby Rogers, Conner Jerome, Marteen and Madux Tramontana, Mary and Jack Green, Kylie, Ricky, and Chloe McDaniel, Cole and Haley Salyer; and many nieces and nephews. Mary worked as Manager of Belmont High School Cafeteria, and was a long time member of the Community Methodist Church. The family would like to thank the Sanctuary and Hospice of Dayton for their care. The family with hold a private Graveside service at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery in care of Tobias Funeral Home, Belmont Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
