Martha Anne May McDermott

McDermott,Martha, of Kettering, Ohio died Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Kettering Hospital. Born on August 28, 1928 in Dayton to Russel and Myrtle May, she was a long-time active member of Parkview Church of the Nazarene. She was an active leader in the South Dayton Christian Womens’ Club, and an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds. She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Donald McDermott , her brother Robert May, and sister Shirley Bourelle. Martha is survived by three daughters: Debbie Wright (Dave), Sheila Krasofsky (David), and Marianne Banford (Brian Miller); three grandchildren Chris (Melanie), Dan (Grace), and Macy Krasofsky; one great-grandson Collin; brother Russel Victor May, sister-in-law Jean May, and long-time friend Jean Kras. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Parkview Church of the Nazarene, 4701 Far Hills Ave, Kettering, Ohio 45429. The funeral will follow on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11:00am, also at the church, with Rev. Ron Justice officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
